Related Product Information for MUG1 recombinant protein
A proteinase activates the inhibitor by specific proteolysis in the bait region, which, by an unknown mechanism leads to reaction at the cysteinyl-glutamyl internal thiol ester site and to a conformational change, whereby the proteinase is trapped and/or covalently bound to the inhibitor. While in the tetrameric proteinase inhibitors steric inhibition is sufficiently strong, monomeric forms need a covalent linkage between the activated glutamyl residue of the original thiol ester and a terminal amino group of a lysine or another nucleophilic group on the proteinase, for inhibition to be effective.

Uniprot Description

Mug1: A proteinase activates the inhibitor by specific proteolysis in the bait region, which, by an unknown mechanism leads to reaction at the cysteinyl-glutamyl internal thiol ester site and to a conformational change, whereby the proteinase is trapped and/or covalently bound to the inhibitor. Belongs to the protease inhibitor I39 (alpha-2- macroglobulin) family.

Product Notes

The MUG1 mug1 (Catalog #AAA9420926) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is Partial, 700-910aa. The Recombinant mouse Murinoglobulin-1 reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. The amino acid sequence is listed below: TPEISWSLRT TLSKRPEEPP RKDPSSNDPL TETIRKYFPE TWVWDIVTVN STGLAEVEMT VPDTITEWKA GALC LSND TGLGLSSVVP LQAFKPFFVE VSLPYSVVRG EAFMLKATVM NYLPTSMQMS VQLEASPDFT AVPVGDDQ DSYCLSANGR HTSSWLVTPK SLGNVNFSVS AEAQQSSEPC GSEVATVPET GRKDTVVKVL IVEPE. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Murinoglobulin-1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
