Related Product Information for anti-SLC34A3 antibody
This gene encodes a member of SLC34A transporter family of proteins, and is expressed primarily in the kidney. It is involved in transporting phosphate into cells via sodium cotransport in the renal brush border membrane, and contributes to the maintenance of inorganic phosphate concentration in the kidney. Mutations in this gene are associated with hereditary hypophosphatemic rickets with hypercalciuria. Alternatively spliced transcript variants varying in the 5' UTR have been found for this gene.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of SLC34A transporter family of proteins, and is expressed primarily in the kidney. It is involved in transporting phosphate into cells via sodium cotransport in the renal brush border membrane, and contributes to the maintenance of inorganic phosphate concentration in the kidney. Mutations in this gene are associated with hereditary hypophosphatemic rickets with hypercalciuria. Alternatively spliced transcript variants varying in the 5' UTR have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Apr 2010]

Uniprot Description

SLC34A3: May be involved in actively transporting phosphate into cells via Na(+) cotransport in the renal brush border membrane. Probably mediates 20-30% of the apical influx. Defects in SLC34A3 are the cause of hereditary hypophosphatemic rickets with hypercalciuria (HHRH). HHRH is an autosomal recessive form of hypophosphatemia characterized by reduced renal phosphate reabsorption and rickets. Increased serum levels of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D lead to increase in urinary calcium excretion. Belongs to the SLC34A transporter family.

Product Notes

The SLC34A3 slc34a3 (Catalog #AAA9405863) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SLC34A3 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SLC34A3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SLC34A3 slc34a3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SLC34A3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
