Human X-ray repair complementing defective repair in Chinese hamster cells 2 ELISA Kit | XRCC2 elisa kit
Human DNA repair protein XRCC2, XRCC2 ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the RecA/Rad51-related protein family that participates in homologous recombination to maintain chromosome stability and repair DNA damage. This gene is involved in the repair of DNA double-strand breaks by homologous recombination and it functionally complements Chinese hamster irs1, a repair-deficient mutant that exhibits hypersensitivity to a number of different DNA-damaging agents. Uniprot Description
XRCC2: Involved in the homologous recombination repair (HRR) pathway of double-stranded DNA, thought to repair chromosomal fragmentation, translocations and deletions. The BCDX2 complex binds single-stranded DNA, single-stranded gaps in duplex DNA and specifically to nicks in duplex DNA. Belongs to the RecA family. RAD51 subfamily.
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7q36.1
Cellular Component: centrosome; cytoplasm; replication fork
Molecular Function: DNA-dependent ATPase activity; protein binding; four-way junction DNA binding; ATP binding
Biological Process: meiosis; positive regulation of neurogenesis; somitogenesis; in utero embryonic development; multicellular organism growth; strand invasion; DNA repair; double-strand break repair via homologous recombination; centrosome organization and biogenesis; response to gamma radiation; mitotic cell cycle; negative regulation of neuron apoptosis; response to X-ray

Product Notes
The Human XRCC2 xrcc2 (Catalog #AAA9340061) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9340061 ELISA Kit recognizes Human XRCC2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "X-ray repair complementing defective repair in Chinese hamster cells 2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
