NCBI Description

The Notch signaling pathway is an intercellular signaling mechanism that is essential for proper embryonic development. Members of the Notch gene family encode transmembrane receptors that are critical for various cell fate decisions. The protein encoded by this gene is one of several ligands that activate Notch and related receptors. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

JAG2: Putative Notch ligand involved in the mediation of Notch signaling. Involved in limb development. Expressed in heart, placenta and skeletal muscle and to a lesser extend in pancreas. Very low expression in brain, lung, liver and kidney. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Mouse JAG2 jag2 (Catalog #AAA9306518) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9306518 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse JAG2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Protein jagged-2, JAG2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
