Uniprot Description

MB21D1: Nucleotidyltransferase that catalyzes the formation of cyclic GMP-AMP (cGAMP) from ATP and GTP. Catalysis involves both the formation of a 2',5' phosphodiester linkage at the GpA step and the formation of a 3',5' phosphodiester linkage at the ApG step, producing c[G(2',5')pA(3',5')p]. Has antiviral activity by acting as a key cytosolic DNA sensor, the presence of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) in the cytoplasm being a danger signal that triggers the immune responses. Binds cytosolic DNA directly, leading to activation and synthesis of cGAMP, a second messenger that binds to and activates TMEM173/STING, thereby triggering type-I interferon production.

Protein type: Enzyme, cellular metabolism; EC 2.7.7.86

Product Notes

The CF150 mb21d1 (Catalog #AAA9231966) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CF150 Antibody (Center) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CF150 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). FC/FACS: 1:25 WB: 1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CF150 mb21d1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CF150, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
