ATAD3A blocking peptide

ATAD3A Blocking Peptide (N-term)

Synonyms
ATAD3A; ATAD3A Blocking Peptide (N-term); ATPase family AAA domain-containing protein 3A; ATAD3A blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence is selected from aa 34-48 of Human ATAD3A
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
634
Cellular Location
Mitochondrion inner membrane; Single-pass membrane protein. Mitochondrion matrix, mitochondrion nucleoid Note: In the mitochondrial inner membrane, enriched in sites with the potential to form contacts with the outer membrane. The N- terminal domain interacts with the inner surface of the mitochondrial outer membrane and the C-terminal domain localizes in a specific matrix compartment, where it is associated with nucleoids
Tissue Location
Overexpressed in lung adenocarcinomas (at protein level).
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for ATAD3A blocking peptide

NCBI Description

ATAD3A and ATAD3B (MIM 612317) are mitochondrial membrane proteins that contribute to the stabilization of large mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA)-protein complexes called nucleoids (He et al., 2007 [PubMed 17210950]).[supplied by OMIM, Sep 2008]

Uniprot Description

ATAD3A: Essential for mitochondrial network organization, mitochondrial metabolism and cell growth at organism and cellular level. May play an important in mitochondrial protein synthesis. May also participate in mitochondrial DNA replication. May bind to mitochondrial DNA D-loops and contribute to nucleoid stability. Required for enhanced channeling of cholesterol for hormone- dependent steroidogenesis. Belongs to the AAA ATPase family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The ATAD3A atad3a (Catalog #AAA9229173) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATAD3A, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
