HEPACAM2 Antibody (C-term) Blocking Peptide

Gene Names
HEPACAM2; MIKI
Synonyms
HEPACAM2; HEPACAM2 Antibody (C-term) Blocking Peptide; HEPACAM family member 2; Mitotic kinetics regulator; MIKI; HEPACAM2 blocking peptide
Ordering
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
462
Cellular Location
Golgi apparatus membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, spindle. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, microtubule organizing center, centrosome. Midbody Note: In interphase, localizes to the Golgi apparatus. Localizes to centrosomes and spindles during prophase, prometaphase, and metaphase of mitosis, and to midbodies at telophase. Translocation to mitotic centrosomes is the result of poly-ADP-ribosylation (PARsylation)
Tissue Location
Widely expressed.
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for HEPACAM2 blocking peptide
Required during prometaphase for centrosome maturation. Following poly-ADP-ribosylation (PARsylation) by TNKS, translocates from the Golgi apparatus to mitotic centrosomes and plays a key role in the formation of robust microtubules for prompt movement of chromosomes: anchors AKAP9/CG-NAP, a scaffold protein of the gamma-tubulin ring complex and promotes centrosome maturation.

Uniprot Description

HEPACAM2: Required during prometaphase for centrosome maturation. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7q21.3

Cellular Component: centrosome; Golgi apparatus; midbody; spindle

Molecular Function: protein binding

Biological Process: centrosome organization and biogenesis

Product Notes

The HEPACAM2 hepacam2 (Catalog #AAA9224242) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HEPACAM2, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
