SNX6 blocking peptide
SNX6 Antibody (N-term) Blocking Peptide
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the sorting nexin family. Members of this family contain a phox (PX) domain, which is a phosphoinositide binding domain, and are involved in intracellular trafficking. This protein associates with the long isoform of the leptin receptor, the transforming growth factor-beta family of receptor serine-threonine kinases, and with receptor tyrosine kinases for platelet-derived growth factor, insulin, and epidermal growth factor. This protein may form oligomeric complexes with family member proteins through interactions of both the PX domain and the coiled coil regions of the molecules. Translocation of this protein from the cytoplasm to the nucleus occurs after binding to proviral integration site 1 protein. This gene results in two transcripts encoding two distinct isoforms. Uniprot Description
SNX6: May be involved in several stages of intracellular trafficking. Promotes lysosomal degradation of CDKN1B. Plays a role in retrograde protein transport from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network. May function as link between transport vesicles and dynactin. Negatively regulates retrograde transport of BACE1 from the cell surface to the trans-Golgi network. May contribute to transcription regulation. Belongs to the sorting nexin family.
Protein type: Vesicle
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q13.1
Cellular Component: cytoplasm; early endosome membrane; extrinsic to membrane; retromer complex
Molecular Function: phosphoinositide binding; protein binding; protein homodimerization activity
Biological Process: endocytosis; intracellular protein transport; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; negative regulation of transforming growth factor beta receptor signaling pathway; retrograde transport, endosome to Golgi; vesicle organization and biogenesis

Product Notes
The SNX6 snx6 (Catalog #AAA9220978) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SNX6, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
