Rabbit anti-Human AKR7L Polyclonal Antibody | anti-AKR7L antibody
AKR7L Antibody (N-Term)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene is one of three aldo-keto reductase genes that are present in a cluster on the p arm of chromosome 1. The encoded proteins are involved in the reduction of the dialdehyde protein-binding form of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) to the non-binding AFB1 dialcohol. It has been speculated that this family member encodes a selenoprotein, which includes a selenocysteine (Sec) residue in lieu of a UGA translational termination codon. However, there is no evidence that such a protein is produced in vivo. The alternative interpretation is that this family member is a duplicated pseudogene, and it is therefore represented as such in this Gene record. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2011]
Uniprot Description
AKR7A4: Can reduce the dialdehyde protein-binding form of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) to the non-binding AFB1 dialcohol. May be involved in protection of liver against the toxic and carcinogenic effects of AFB1, a potent hepatocarcinogen. Belongs to the aldo/keto reductase family. Aldo/keto reductase 2 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The AKR7L akr7l (Catalog #AAA9215639) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AKR7L Antibody (N-Term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's AKR7L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB ~~ 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AKR7L akr7l for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AKR7L, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
