Related Product Information for anti-FIGF antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor/vascular endothelial growth factor (PDGF/VEGF) family and is active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth. This secreted protein undergoes a complex proteolytic maturation, generating multiple processed forms which bind and activate VEGFR-2 and VEGFR-3 receptors. This protein is structurally and functionally similar to vascular endothelial growth factor C.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor/vascular endothelial growth factor (PDGF/VEGF) family and is active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth. This secreted protein undergoes a complex proteolytic maturation, generating multiple processed forms which bind and activate VEGFR-2 and VEGFR-3 receptors. This protein is structurally and functionally similar to vascular endothelial growth factor C. Read-through transcription has been observed between this locus and the upstream PIR (GeneID 8544) locus. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]

Uniprot Description

VEGFD: Growth factor active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration and also has effects on the permeability of blood vessels. May function in the formation of the venous and lymphatic vascular systems during embryogenesis, and also in the maintenance of differentiated lymphatic endothelium in adults. Binds and activates VEGFR-2 (KDR/FLK1) and VEGFR-3 (FLT4) receptors. Belongs to the PDGF/VEGF growth factor family.

Protein type: Cytokine; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xp22.31

Cellular Component: extracellular space; membrane; extracellular region

Molecular Function: protein homodimerization activity; growth factor activity; platelet-derived growth factor receptor binding; vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3 binding; vascular endothelial growth factor receptor binding; chemoattractant activity

Biological Process: platelet activation; cell proliferation; platelet degranulation; positive chemotaxis; positive regulation of cell division; positive regulation of cell proliferation; angiogenesis; cell differentiation; vascular endothelial growth factor receptor signaling pathway; blood coagulation; induction of positive chemotaxis

Product Notes

The FIGF figf (Catalog #AAA9200222) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The VEGF4 Antibody reacts with Human, mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's VEGF4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:100~500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FIGF figf for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "VEGF4, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
