Related Product Information for IL17RB elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for IL17RB has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any IL17RB present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for IL17RB is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of IL17RB bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine receptor. This receptor specifically binds to IL17B and IL17E, but does not bind to IL17 and IL17C. This receptor has been shown to mediate the activation of NF-kappaB and the production of IL8 induced by IL17E. The expression of the rat counterpart of this gene was found to be significantly up-regulated during intestinal inflammation, which suggested the immunoregulatory activity of this receptor. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

IL17RB: Receptor for the proinflammatory cytokines IL17B and IL17E. May play a role in controlling the growth and/or differentiation of hematopoietic cells. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p21.1

Cellular Component: cell surface; membrane; integral to plasma membrane; cytoplasm; extracellular region

Molecular Function: hematopoietin/interferon-class (D200-domain) cytokine receptor activity; interleukin-17 receptor activity

Biological Process: cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; defense response; regulation of cell growth

Product Notes

The Human IL17RB il17rb (Catalog #AAA911729) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA911729 ELISA Kit recognizes Human IL17RB. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "interleukin 17 receptor B, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
