Related Product Information for anti-CANX antibody
Polyclonal antibody to detect endogenous levels of Calnexin (pS583) in human; mouse and rat samples.
Calcium-binding protein that interacts with newly synthesized glycoproteins in the endoplasmic reticulum. It may act in assisting protein assembly and/or in the retention within the ER of unassembled protein subunits. It seems to play a major role in the quality control apparatus of the ER by the retention of incorrectly folded proteins. Associated with partial T-cell antigen receptor complexes that escape the ER of immature thymocytes; it may function as a signaling complex regulating thymocyte maturation. Additionally it may play a role in receptor-mediated endocytosis at the synapse.

Product Notes

The CANX canx (Catalog #AAA846130) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phospho-Calnexin (Ser583) Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Calnexin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB); ELISA (EIA); Immunohistochemistry (IHC); Immunofluorescence (IF). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:100-1:300 IF: 1:200-1:1000 ELISA: 1:5000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CANX canx for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Calnexin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
