Materials Provided
1. Capture Antibody 0.2 mg/mL of rabbit anti-SULT1E1 monoclonal antibody, Dilute to a working concentration of 0.5ug/mL in CBS before coating.
2. Detection Antibody 0.5 mg/mL rabbit anti-SULT1E1 monoclonal antibody conjugated to horseradish-peroxidase (HRP). Dilute to working concentration of 0.25ug/mL in detection antibody dilution buffer before use.
3. Standard Each vial contains 56 ng of recombinant SULT1E1. Reconstitute with 1 mL detection antibody dilution buffer. After reconstitution, store at -20 degree C to -80 degree C in a manual defrost freezer. A seven-point standard curve using 2-fold serial dilutions in sample dilution buffer, and a high standard of 2ng/mL is recommended.

Preparation and Storage

Detection Antibody: Protect it from prolonged exposure to light. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C to -80 degree C and for up to 6 months from date of receipt. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Standard: Store lyophilized standard at -20 degree C to -80 degree C for up to 6 months from date of receipt. Aliquot and store the reconstituted Standard at -80 degree C for up to 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Estrogen sulfotransferase, also known as Sulfotransferase, estrogen-preferring, Sulfotransferase 1E1, SULT1E1 and ST1E1, is a cytoplasm enzyme that belongs to the sulfotransferase 1 family. Sulfotransferase enzymes catalyze the sulfate conjugation of many hormones, neurotransmitters, drugs, and xenobiotic compounds. These cytosolic enzymes are different in their tissue distributions and substrate specificities. SULT1E1 may control the level of the estrogen receptor by sulfurylating free estradiol. SULT1E1 maximally sulfates beta-estradiol and estrone at concentrations of 2 nM. SULT1E1 also sulfates dehydroepiandrosterone, pregnenolone, ethinylestradiol, equalenin, diethylstilbesterol and 1-naphthol, at significantly higher concentrations; however, cortisol, testosterone and dopamine are not sulfated. SULT1E1 is a key enzyme in estrogen homeostasis. It plays a central role in the prevention and development of human disease.
