Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence staining of UFD1L in Hela cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS,blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-Human UFD1L polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:100) at 4 degree C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green). Positive staining was localized to Nucleus and Cytoplasm.)

Related Product Information for anti-UFD1 antibody
The ubiquitin-fusion degradation protein 1 (Ufd1) mediates ubiquitin fusion degradation by association with Npl4 and Cdc48/p97. Ufd1 is a subunit of the Cdc48-Ufd1-Npl4 complex implicated in the sorting of ubiquitylated substrates for degradation by the proteasome. The Ufd1-ubiquitin interaction is essential for the transfer of substrates to the proteasome. Npl4 is a 67 kDa protein forming a stable heterodimer with Ufd1, which in turn binds the ubiquitous p97/VCP ATPase. p97/VCP associated with Ufd1-Npl4 is considered a key player in ER-associated degradation (ERAD). RNA interference (RNAi) of one component of the Ufd1-Npl4 heterodimer destabilizes the VCP-Ufd1-Npl4 complex inducing proteasome-dependent degradation of the other component and releasing free VCP. The ubiquitin-recognition protein Ufd1 facilitates clearance of misfolded proteins through the endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-associated degradation (ERAD) pathway.

Product Notes

The UFD1 (Catalog #AAA8109189) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-UFD1L Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's UFD1L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). ICC/IF: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the UFD1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "UFD1L, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
