Related Product Information for anti-MSRA antibody
MSRA (Methionine Sulfoxide Reductase A) is a Protein Coding gene. The MSRA gene, located on 8p23.1, is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, and rat, etc. MSRA belongs to the MsrA Met sulfoxide reductase family. MsrA is a potent intracellular oxidoreductase and serves as an essential factor that protects cells against oxidative damage. However, the therapeutic use of exogenous MsrA in oxidative stress-induced diseases is limited, because it cannot enter the cells. Considerable evidence indicates a role for MsrA in lens cell resistance to oxidative stress through its maintenance of mitochondrial function. Correspondingly, increased protein methionine sulfoxide (PMSO) is associated with lens aging and human cataract formation, suggesting that loss of MsrA activity is associated with this disease.

Product Notes

The MSRA (Catalog #AAA8108636) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-MSRA Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MSRA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). IHC-P: 1:100-1:400. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MSRA for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MSRA, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
