Sheep Growth hormone releasing hormone ELISA Kit | GHRH elisa kit
Sheep Growth hormone releasing hormone ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: GHRH ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-GHRH antibody and an GHRH-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with GHRH-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the GHRH concentration since GHRH from samples and GHRH-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-GHRH antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by GHRH from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind GHRH-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The GHRH concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a receptor for growth hormone-releasing hormone. Binding of this hormone to the receptor leads to synthesis and release of growth hormone. Mutations in this gene have been associated with isolated growth hormone deficiency (IGHD), also known as Dwarfism of Sindh, a disorder characterized by short stature. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2010]
Uniprot Description
GHRHR: Receptor for GRF, coupled to G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase. Stimulates somatotroph cell growth, growth hormone gene transcription and growth hormone secretion. Defects in GHRHR are a cause of growth hormone deficiency isolated type 1B (IGHD1B); also known as dwarfism of Sindh. IGHD1B is an autosomal recessive deficiency of GH which causes short stature. IGHD1B patients have low but detectable levels of GH. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family.

Product Notes
The Sheep GHRH ghrhr (Catalog #AAA742649) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA742649 ELISA Kit recognizes Sheep GHRH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Growth hormone releasing hormone, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
