NCBI Description

Olfactory receptors interact with odorant molecules in the nose, to initiate a neuronal response that triggers the perception of a smell. The olfactory receptor proteins are members of a large family of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) arising from single coding-exon genes. Olfactory receptors share a 7-transmembrane domain structure with many neurotransmitter and hormone receptors and are responsible for the recognition and G protein-mediated transduction of odorant signals. The olfactory receptor gene family is the largest in the genome. The nomenclature assigned to the olfactory receptor genes and proteins for this organism is independent of other organisms. Product Notes

The Olr1145 olr1145 (Catalog #AAA7024462) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Cell Free Expression and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 1-168aa; full length protein. This is a recombinant transmembrane protein expressed in a cell-free expression system. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Olr1145 olr1145 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: TTVPKMLINL QKQNKAISYA GCITQLSFVL LFAGMENFLL AAMAYDRYVA ICKPLRYTAI MKAHLCLVMT LLSLCISIVD ALLHGLMILR LSFCTFLEIP HYFCELYQVI KLSCSDTLIN NILVYTMTST LGGVPLGGII FSYFKIISSI LRMPSSGSRH RAFSTCGS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Putative gustatory receptor clone PTE03 (Olr1145), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
