Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of ACTG1 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal ACTG1 Antibody (Center). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the ACTG1 gene.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of ACTG1 Antibody (Center) with HepG2 cell followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green). DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility, and maintenance of the cytoskeleton. In vertebrates, three main groups of actin isoforms, alpha, beta and gamma have been identified. The alpha actins are found in muscle tissues and are a major constituent of the contractile apparatus. The beta and gamma actins co-exist in most cell types as components of the cytoskeleton, and as mediators of internal cell motility. Actin, gamma 1, encoded by this gene, is a cytoplasmic actin found in non-muscle cells. Mutations in this gene are associated with DFNA20/26, a subtype of autosomal dominant non-syndromic sensorineural progressive hearing loss. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2011]
Uniprot Description
ACTG1: Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and are ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells. Polymerization of globular actin (G-actin) leads to a structural filament (F-actin) in the form of a two-stranded helix. Each actin can bind to 4 others. Belongs to the actin family.

Product Notes
The ACTG1 actg1 (Catalog #AAA6461208) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ACTG1, ID (Actin, Cytoplasmic 2, Gamma-actin, Actin, Cytoplasmic 2, N-terminally Processed, ACTG, ACTB) (MaxLight 490) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ACTG1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:50-1:100 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ACTG1 actg1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ACTG1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
