Host
E Coli
Purity/Purification
Molecular Biology Grade
98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Form/Format
Sterile filtered and lyophilized without additives.
Biological Activity
The biological activity of human TECK was determined by a chemotaxis assay using human monocytes. Significant chemotaxis was achieved at a concentration range of 1.0-10.0 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug)
Reconstitution
Lyophilized human TECK is soluble in water and most aqueous buffers and can be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0mg/ml. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored frozen for future use.
Preparation and Storage
-20 degree C
Stability: Lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated below 0 degree C. Reconstituted TECK should be stored in working aliquots at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for Ccl25 active protein
Human thymus-expressed chemokine (TECK), a 14.2kD protein containing 127 amino acid residues, is a novel CC chemokine that was identified in the thymus of mouse and human. TECK shows chemotactic activity for activated macrophages, dendritic cells and thymocytes.

Uniprot Description

CCL25: Potentially involved in T-cell development. Recombinant protein shows chemotactic activity on thymocytes, macrophages, THP-1 cells, and dendritics cells but is inactive on peripheral blood lymphocytes and neutrophils. Binds to CCR9. Isoform 2 is an antagonist of isoform 1. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Chemokine; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region

Molecular Function: protein binding; chemokine receptor binding; chemokine activity; CCR10 chemokine receptor binding; cytokine activity

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; immune response; chemotaxis; positive regulation of cell-matrix adhesion; inflammatory response; leukocyte migration

Product Notes

The Ccl25 ccl25 (Catalog #AAA635072) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Thymus-expressed Chemokine, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
