Related Product Information for anti-OGDH antibody
This gene encodes one subunit of the 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex. This complex catalyzes the overall conversion of 2-oxoglutarate (alpha-ketoglutarate) to succinyl-CoA and CO(2) during the Krebs cycle. The protein is located in the mitochondrial matrix and uses thiamine pyrophosphate as a cofactor. A congenital deficiency in 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase activity is believed to lead to hypotonia, metabolic acidosis, and hyperlactatemia. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.

The protein is located in the mitochondrial matrix and uses thiamine pyrophosphate as a cofactor. Uniprot Description

OGDH: The 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex catalyzes the overall conversion of 2-oxoglutarate to succinyl-CoA and CO(2). It contains multiple copies of three enzymatic components: 2- oxoglutarate dehydrogenase (E1), dihydrolipoamide succinyltransferase (E2) and lipoamide dehydrogenase (E3). Belongs to the alpha-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The OGDH ogdh (Catalog #AAA6327646) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The OGDH, CT (OGDH, 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial, 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex component E1, Alpha-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase) (APC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's OGDH can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:10-50 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the OGDH ogdh for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "OGDH, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
