Related Product Information for anti-IMP2L antibody
IMP2L complex generates mature, active proteins in the mitochondrial intermembrane space by proteolytically removing the mitochondrial targeting presequence of nuclear-encoded proteins. IMP1 (IMMP1L; MIM 612323) and IMP2 are the catalytic subunits of the IMP complex.

Uniprot Description

IMMP2L: Catalyzes the removal of transit peptides required for the targeting of proteins from the mitochondrial matrix, across the inner membrane, into the inter-membrane space. Known to process the nuclear encoded protein DIABLO. Defects in IMMP2L may be a cause of Gilles de la Tourette syndrome (GTS). GTS is a neurologic disorder manifested particularly by motor and vocal tics and associated with behavioral abnormalities. Belongs to the peptidase S26 family. IMP2 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: EC 3.4.21.-; Membrane protein, integral; Mitochondrial; Protease

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7q31

Molecular Function: peptidase activity; serine-type endopeptidase activity

Biological Process: mitochondrial protein processing; mitochondrial respiratory chain complex assembly; signal peptide processing

Product Notes

The IMP2L immp2l (Catalog #AAA6310398) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IMP2L, ID (IMMP2L, Mitochondrial inner membrane protease subunit 2, IMP2-like protein) (PE) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IMP2L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), FLISA, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). FC/FACS: 1:10-50 FLISA: 1:1,000 IHC: 1:50-100 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IMP2L immp2l for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IMP2L, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
