Related Product Information for anti-SDPR antibody
SDPR (Serum deprivation response gene; also SDR and PS-p68) is a 68-70kD member of the PTRF/SDPR family of proteins. It is expressed in striated muscle, platelets, and fibroblasts, and is cytosolic in location. SDPR is known to bind phosphatidylserine and form complexes with both PKC alpha and PTRF, targeting them to caveolae. Human SDPR is 425 amino acids in

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a calcium-independent phospholipid-binding protein whose expression increases in serum-starved cells. This protein is a substrate for protein kinase C (PKC) phosphorylation and recruits polymerase I and transcript release factor (PTRF) to caveolae. Removal of this protein causes caveolae loss and its over-expression results in caveolae deformation and membrane tubulation.

Uniprot Description

SDPR: May play a role in targeting PRKCA to caveolae. Belongs to the PTRF/SDPR family.

Protein type: Lipid-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q32-q33

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; caveola; cytosol

Molecular Function: protein binding; protein kinase C binding; phosphatidylserine binding; phospholipid binding

Product Notes

The SDPR sdpr (Catalog #AAA622385) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SDPR (Serum deprivation response (phosphatidylserine binding protein), cavin-2, Phosphatidylserine-binding protein, PS-p68, SDR, Serum deprivation-response protein) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SDPR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SDPR sdpr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SDPR, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
