Human alpha-glucosidase II synthetic peptide, corresponding to aa916-930, prepared as a multiple antigen peptide (MAP).
Positive Control
Rat Brain Tissue Extract
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Related Product Information for anti-GANAB antibody
alpha-Glucosidase II is a 110kD glycosylated endoplasmic reticulum resident protein that is involved in trimming of glucose from newly synthesized glycosylated proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Together with an 80kD beta subunit, these polypeptides remove two alpha-1,3-linked glucose from high mannose oligosaccharides linked to asparagine residue on glycoprotein. alpha-Glucosidase II mediated glucose trimming is necessary for the interaction of substrates such as influenza virus hemagglutinin (HA), MHC Class I, and T-cell antigen receptor (TCR) with calnexin, an ER resident chaperone that is specific for monoglucosylated glycoproteins.

Product Notes

The GANAB ganab (Catalog #AAA617142) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Glucosidase II, alpha reacts with Bovine, Canine, Hamster, Human, Monkey, Mouse, Porcine, Rabbit, Rat, Sheep and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Glucosidase II, alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Dilution: Immunoprecipitation: 1:25 Western Blot (Colorimetric): 1:250; Note: It is recommended for Western Blot applications, that the secondary antibody be quenched by adding normal sera (of an identical species to secondary host) to the diluent. Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GANAB ganab for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Glucosidase II, alpha, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
