Related Product Information for anti-KREMEN2 antibody
The Wnt family of secreted glycoproteins mediate cell-cell interaction during cell growth and differentiation in both embryos and adults. (1,2) Canonical Wnt signaling by way of the b-catenin pathway is transduced by two receptor families, frizzled proteins and lipoprotein-receptor-related proteins 5 and 6 (LRP5/6) which binds Wnts and transmit their signal by stabilizing intracellular b-catenin.(3-6) Kremen1 and Kremen2 are high-affinity Dkk1 receptors that functionally cooperate with the secreted protein Dickkopf1 (Dkk1) to block Wnt/b-catenin signaling.(7) Kremen1 and Kremen2 are components of a membrane complex modulating canonical Wnt signaling through LRP6 in vertebrates.(7) Dkk1 has been shown to inhibit Wnt signaling by binding to and antagonizing LRP5/6 (8-10).

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a high-affinity dickkopf homolog 1 (DKK1) transmembrane receptor that functionally cooperates with DKK1 to block wingless (WNT)/beta-catenin signaling. The encoded protein forms a ternary membrane complex with DKK1 and the WNT receptor lipoprotein receptor-related protein 6 (LRP6), and induces rapid endocytosis and removal of LRP6 from the plasma membrane. It contains extracellular kringle, WSC, and CUB domains. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

KREMEN2: Receptor for Dickkopf protein. Cooperates with Dickkopf to block Wnt/beta-catenin signaling. Forms a ternary complex with Dkk1 and LRP6 and induces rapid endocytosis and removal of the Wnt receptor LRP6 from the plasma membrane. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Receptor, misc.; Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16p13.3

Cellular Component: membrane; early endosome membrane; plasma membrane; integral to membrane

Biological Process: Wnt receptor signaling pathway; cell communication

Product Notes

The KREMEN2 (Catalog #AAA616385) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Kremen2 reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Kremen2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1-2ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KREMEN2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Kremen2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
