Related Product Information for anti-GRIP1 antibody
The steroid hormones, thyroid hormone, vitamin D, and retinoic acid function by activating specific "nuclear receptor proteins" found inside of target cells. The activated receptors bind to and activate specific genes, and the products of these activated genes change cellular activities in specific ways, thus constituting the biological response to the hormone. After binding to target genes, the activated nuclear receptors require the assistance of proteins called "transcriptional co-activators" in order to activate the target genes. GRIP1 (Glucocorticoid Receptor Interacting Protein 1) is a novel protein that serves as a transcriptional co-activator for steroid and nuclear hormone receptors.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the glutamate receptor interacting protein family. The encoded scaffold protein binds to and mediates the trafficking and membrane organization of a number of transmembrane proteins. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq]

Product Notes

The GRIP1 grip1 (Catalog #AAA604698) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GRIP1 (Glucocorticoid Receptor Interacting Protein 1, NCOA2 TIF2, Transcriptional Intermediary Factor 2) (BSA & Azide Free) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GRIP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2 hours at RT. Immunoprecipitation: 2ug/mg protein lysate using Protein G. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GRIP1 grip1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GRIP1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
