Uniprot Description

ATPBD3: Plays a central role in 2-thiolation of mcm(5)S(2)U at tRNA wobble positions of tRNA(Lys), tRNA(Glu) and tRNA(Gln). Directly binds tRNAs and probably acts by catalyzing adenylation of tRNAs, an intermediate required for 2-thiolation. It is unclear whether it acts as a sulfurtransferase that transfers sulfur from thiocarboxylated URM1 onto the uridine of tRNAs at wobble position. Belongs to the TtcA family. CTU1/NCS6/ATPBD3 subfamily.

Protein type: EC 2.7.7.-

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.41

Cellular Component: mitochondrion; cytosol

Molecular Function: protein binding; tRNA binding; nucleotidyltransferase activity

Biological Process: protein urmylation; tRNA wobble uridine modification

Product Notes

The CTU1 ctu1 (Catalog #AAA6011632) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ATPBD3, ID (CTU1, ATPBD3, NCS6, Cytoplasmic tRNA 2-thiolation protein 1, ATP-binding domain-containing protein 3, Cancer-associated gene protein, Cytoplasmic tRNA adenylyltransferase 1) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ATPBD3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CTU1 ctu1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATPBD3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
