NCBI Description

This gene may play a role in erythroid cell differentiation. The encoded protein inhibits DNA binding of the erythroid transcription factor GATA-1 and may regulate the expression of alpha-globin. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2011]

Uniprot Description

EDRF1: Transcription factor involved in erythroid differentiation. Involved in transcriptional activation of the globin gene. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Unknown function

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10q26.13

Cellular Component: nucleus

Biological Process: regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; transcription, DNA-dependent

Product Notes

The C10orf137 edrf1 (Catalog #AAA6000937) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The EDRF1 (C10orf137, Erythroid Differentiation-related Factor 1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's EDRF1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the C10orf137 edrf1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MIPGSWQHKM KLQLILKSSK AYYVLSDAAM SLQKYGRALR YIKLALQSHD TYCCLCTNML SEVLLFLSQY LTLCGDIQLM LAQNANNRAA HLEEFHYQTK EDQEILHSLH RESSCQGFAW ATDLSTDLES QLSVSCKCYE AANEILQFSD LKSQNPEHYV QVLKRMGNIR NEIGVFYMNQ AAALQSERLV SKSVSAAEQQ LWKKSFSCFE KGIHNFESIE DATNAALLLC NTGRLMRICA QAHCGAGDEL KREFSPEEGL YYNKAIDYYL KALRSLGTRD IHPAVWDSVN WELSTTYFTM ATLQQDYAPL SRKAQEQIEK EVSEAMMKSL KYCDVDSVSA RQPLCQYRAA TIHHRLASMY HSCLRNQVGD EHLRKQHRVL ADLHYSKAAK LFQLLKDAPC ELLRVQLERV AFAEFQMTSQ NSNVGKLKTL SGALDIMVRT EHAFQLIQKE LIEEFGQPKS GDAAAAADAS PSLNREEVMK LLSIFESRLS FLLLQSIKLL SSTKKKTSNN IEDDTILKTN KHIYSQLLRA TANKTATLLE RINVIVHLLG QLAAGSAASS NAVQ. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EDRF1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
