NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein that is similar to members of the CaiB/baiF CoA-transferase protein family. Mutations in this gene are associated with glutaric aciduria type III. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2010]

Uniprot Description

SUGCT: Defects in C7orf10 are the cause of glutaric aciduria type 3 (GA3). GA3 is a metabolic disorder due to peroxisomal glutaryl-CoA oxidase deficiency and characterized by the excretion of abnormal quantities of glutaric acid but low 3- hydroxyglutaric acid. Belongs to the CaiB/BaiF CoA-transferase family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Transferase; EC 2.8.3.13

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7p14.1

Cellular Component: mitochondrion

Molecular Function: succinate-hydroxymethylglutarate CoA-transferase activity

Biological Process: metabolic process

Disease: Glutaric Aciduria Iii

Product Notes

The C7orf10 c7orf10 (Catalog #AAA6013375) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The C7orf10 (CaiB/baiF CoA-transferase Family Protein C7orf10, Dermal Papilla-derived Protein 13, DERP13, FLJ11808, ORF19) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's C7orf10 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the C7orf10 c7orf10 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MPSETHAMLA TLARVAALRR TCLFSGRGGG RGLWTGRPQS DMNNIKPLEG VKILDLTRVL AGPFATMNLG DLGAEVIKVE RPGAGDDTRT WGPPFVGTES TYYLSVNRNK KSIAVNIKDP KGVKIIKELA AVCDVFVENY VPGKLSAMGL GYEDIDEIAP HIIYCSITGY GQTGPISQRA GYDAVASAVS GLMHITGPEN GDPVRPGVAM TDLATGLYAY GAIMAGLIQK YKTGKGLFID CNLLSSQVAC LSHIAANYLI GQKEAKRWGT AHGSIVPYQA FKTKDGYIVV GAGNNQQFAT VCKILDLPEL IDNSKYKTNH LRVHNRKELI KILSERFEEE LTSKWLYLFE GSGVPYGPIN NMKNVFAEPQ NAVSGFQSLL HSLAHGPFLH LQGSARVLHN GLVMEMEHPT VGKISVPGPA VRYSKFKMSE ARPPPLLGQH TTHILKEVLR YDDRAIGELL SAGVVDQHET H. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C7orf10, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
