Related Product Information for anti-DNAM-1 antibody
DNAX accessory molecule-1 (DNAM-1) is a 65 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. DNAM-1 is constitutively expressed on a majority of T cells, NK cells and macrophages. Interaction of DNAM-1 with DNAM-1 ligands CD155 and CD112 induces intercellular adhesion, infiltration and cell signaling, resulting in a variety of cellular responses including innate and adaptive immunities.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a glycoprotein expressed on the surface of NK cells, platelets, monocytes and a subset of T cells. It is a member of the Ig-superfamily containing 2 Ig-like domains of the V-set. The protein mediates cellular adhesion of platelets and megakaryocytic cells to vascular endothelial cells. The protein also plays a role in megakaryocytic cell maturation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2015]

Uniprot Description

Involved in intercellular adhesion, lymphocyte signaling, cytotoxicity and lymphokine secretion mediated by cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) and NK cell (PubMed:8673704). Cell surface receptor for NECTIN2. Upon ligand binding, stimulates T-cell proliferation and cytokine production, including that of IL2, IL5, IL10, IL13, and IFNG. Competes with PVRIG for NECTIN2-binding (PubMed:26755705).

Product Notes

The DNAM-1 cd226 (Catalog #AAA584805) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DNAM-1, Mouse, mAb TX92, FITC reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DNAM-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Functional Studies. The typical starting working dilution is 1:25. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DNAM-1 cd226 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DNAM-1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
