Host Note
Optimized DNA sequence encoding Human MIG mature chain was expressed in Escherichia Coli.
Endotoxin
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers
Molecular Weight Note
Native human MIG (CXCL9) is generated by the proteolytic removal of the signal peptide and propeptide, the molecule has a calculated molecular mass of approximately 11 kDa.

Recombinant MIG (CXCL9) is a disulfide-linked monomeric protein consisting of 104 amino acid residue subunits, migrates as an approximately 11kDa protein under non-reducing and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20 degree C.
Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Related Product Information for MIG recombinant protein
MIG (CXCL9) protein belongs to the family of chemotactic cytokines known as Chemokines. The synthesis of MIG (CXCL9) is specifically induced in macrophages and in other cells by IFN-gamma.Human neutrophils produce mig in response to IFN-gamma in combination with either TNF- alpha or bacterial lipopolysaccharides and this response is blocked by IL-10 and IL-4.mig is a chemoattractant for stimulated but not resting T-cells,however it is not active on neutrophils or monocytes.

NCBI Description

This antimicrobial gene encodes a protein thought to be involved in T cell trafficking. The encoded protein binds to C-X-C motif chemokine 3 and is a chemoattractant for lymphocytes but not for neutrophils. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

Uniprot Description

CXCL9: Cytokine that affects the growth, movement, or activation state of cells that participate in immune and inflammatory response. Chemotactic for activated T-cells. Binds to CXCR3. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4q21

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region; external side of plasma membrane

Product Notes

The MIG cxcl9 (Catalog #AAA553131) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MKKSGVLFLL GIILLVLIGV QGTPVVRKGR CSCISTNQGT IHLQSLKDLK QFAPSPSCEK IEIIATLKNG VQTCLNPDSA DVKELIKKWE KQVSQKKKQK NGKKHQKKKV LKVRKSQRSR QKKTT. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MIG, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
