Intended Uses: This CXCL9 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Porcine CXCL9. This ELISA kit for research use only!

Principle of the Assay: CXCL9 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-CXCL9 antibody and an CXCL9-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CXCL9-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CXCL9 concentration since CXCL9 from samples and CXCL9-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CXCL9 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CXCL9 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CXCL9-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CXCL9 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

The function of this gene has not been specifically defined; however, it is thought to be involved in T cell trafficking. This gene has been localized to 4q21 with INP10, which is also a member of the chemokine family of cytokines. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The Porcine CXCL9 cxcl9 (Catalog #AAA749695) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA749695 ELISA Kit recognizes Porcine CXCL9. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Chemokine C-X-C-Motif Ligand 9, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
