Biological Significance
RFLAT-1 is a novel protein belonging to the TFIIIA-like zinc finger protein superfamily and binds to the A site of the RANTES (Regulated upon Activation, Normal T cell Expressed and Secreted) chemokine. RANTES is involved in the generation of inflammatory infiltrate and HIV entry into immune cells.
Cross-Reactivity
Mouse
Biohazard Information
This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
Immunogen
RFLAT1 antibody was raised in rabbit using residues 27-37 [PREGPESRPEG] of the Kruppel-like factor 13, transcription factor NSLP1, novel Sp1 like zinc finger transcription factor, and RANTES factor of late activated T lymphocytes-1 as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Uniprot Description

KLF13: Represses transcription by binding to the BTE site, a GC-rich DNA element, in competition with the activator SP1. It also represses transcription by interacting with the corepressor Sin3A and HDAC1. Activates RANTES expression in T-cells. Belongs to the Sp1 C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family.

Product Notes

The RFLAT1 klf13 (Catalog #AAA536016) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's RFLAT1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:1,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RFLAT1 klf13 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RFLAT1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
