This fract ion was produced from an anti serum that had been adsorbed repeatedly with mouse red blood cells to remove most antibodies to antigens common among different cell types. This adsorption significantly improves specificity. The FITC conjugate has been purified by removing free fluorochrome, under-conjugated and over-conjugated antibodies.
