Goat pan ADH Polyclonal Antibody | anti-ADH1A, B, C antibody
Goat Anti-pan ADH, Biotinylated Antibody
Tested: Human
Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Rat
Tested: Human
Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Rat
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1:8000.
Western Blot (WB)
(Biotinylated (2ug/ml) staining of Human Liver lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer), exactly mirroring its parental non-biotinylated product. Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence, using streptavidin-HRP and using NAP blocker as a substitute for skimmed milk.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the alcohol dehydrogenase family. The encoded protein is the alpha subunit of class I alcohol dehydrogenase, which consists of several homo- and heterodimers of alpha, beta and gamma subunits. Alcohol dehydrogenases catalyze the oxidation of alcohols to aldehydes. This gene is active in the liver in early fetal life but only weakly active in adult liver. This gene is found in a cluster with six additional alcohol dehydrogenase genes, including those encoding the beta and gamma subunits, on the long arm of chromosome 4. Mutations in this gene may contribute to variation in certain personality traits and substance dependence. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]

Product Notes
The ADH1A, B, C adh1a (Catalog #AAA423668) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat Anti-pan ADH, Biotinylated Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat Tested: Human Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's pan ADH can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Western Blot: Approx 39kDa band observed in Human Liver lysates (calculated MW of 39.9kDa according to NP_000658.1). See non-biotinylated parental product's datasheet for further QC data. Recommended concentration: 1-3ug/ml. Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1:8000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ADH1A, B, C adh1a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: STAGKVMKCK A. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "pan ADH, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
