Interacts with MTX2/metaxin-2. Associates with the mitochondrial contact site and cristae organizing system (MICOS) complex, composed of at least MINOS1/MIC10, CHCHD3/MIC19, CHCHD6/MIC25, APOOL/MIC27, IMMT/MIC60, APOO/MIC23/MIC26 and QIL1/MIC13. This complex was also known under the names MINOS or MitOS complex. The MICOS complex associates with mitochondrial outer membrane proteins SAMM50, MTX1, MTX2 and DNAJC11, mitochondrial inner membrane protein TMEM11 and with HSPA9.
Entry Function
Involved in transport of proteins into the mitochondrion. Essential for embryonic development.

Product Notes

The MTX1 mtx1 (Catalog #AAA2903665) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's MTX1 / Metaxin-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Antigen Protein (AP), Protein Array. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MTX1 mtx1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MTX1 / Metaxin-1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
