Rabbit Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide ELISA Kit | GIP elisa kit

Rabbit Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide ELISA Kit

Reactivity
Rabbit
Synonyms
Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide; Rabbit Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide ELISA Kit; GIP elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Rabbit
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Rabbit GIP and analogues was observed.
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces and Urine
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
31.2 pg/ml - 1000 pg/ml.
Sensitivity
5.0 pg/ml.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated GIP concentrations in Rabbit serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Rabbit GIP antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add GIP and GIP antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of GIP in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an incretin hormone and belongs to the glucagon superfamily. The encoded protein is important in maintaining glucose homeostasis as it is a potent stimulator of insulin secretion from pancreatic beta-cells following food ingestion and nutrient absorption. This gene stimulates insulin secretion via its G protein-coupled receptor activation of adenylyl cyclase and other signal transduction pathways. It is a relatively poor inhibitor of gastric acid secretion. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

GIP: Potent stimulator of insulin secretion and relatively poor inhibitor of gastric acid secretion. Belongs to the glucagon family.

Product Notes

The Rabbit GIP gip (Catalog #AAA028964) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA028964 ELISA Kit recognizes Rabbit GIP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
