Related Product Information for anti-PLA2G1B antibody
This gene encodes a secreted member of the phospholipase A2 (PLA2) class of enzymes, which is produced by the pancreatic acinar cells. The encoded calcium-dependent enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of the sn-2 position of membrane glycerophospholipids to release arachidonic acid (AA) and lysophospholipids. AA is subsequently converted by downstream metabolic enzymes to several bioactive lipophilic compounds (eicosanoids), including prostaglandins (PGs) and leukotrienes (LTs). The enzyme may be involved in several physiological processes including cell contraction, cell proliferation and pathological response. PLA2G1B (Phospholipase A2 Group IB) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with PLA2G1B include Distal Hereditary Motor Neuropathy, Type Ii. Among its related pathways are Linoleic acid metabolism and Vascular smooth muscle contraction. GO annotations related to this gene include calcium ion binding and phospholipase A2 activity. An important paralog of this gene is PLA2G2D.

Product Notes

The PLA2G1B pla2g1b (Catalog #AAA2549124) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PLA2G1B Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PLA2G1B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:1500-1:6000 IHC: 1:100-1:400. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PLA2G1B pla2g1b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PLA2G1B, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
