Related Product Information for CD16 / FCGR3 recombinant protein
Background: Fc receptors bind the most common class of antibody, IgG, are called Fc gamma receptors (FcgammaR). FcgammaR is divided into three classes, Fc gamma RI (CD64), Fc gamma RII (CD32), and Fc gamma RIII (CD16). CD16 protein is a multifunctional, low/intermediate affinity receptor, which belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is found on the surface of natural killer cells, neutrophil polymorphonuclear leukocytes, monocytes and macrophages. Mouse CD16 is encoded by a single gene, while, human CD16 is expressed as two distinct forms (CD16a/FcgammaRIIIa and CD16b/FcgammaRIIIb) encoded by two different highly homologous genes in a cell type -specific manner. CD16 is involved in phagocytosis, secretion of enzymes, inflammatory mediators, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), and clearance of immune complexes.

Description: A DNA sequence encoding the mouse FCGR3 (P08508-1) extracellular domain (Met 1-Thr 215) was fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

Product Notes

The CD16 / FCGR3 fcgr3 (Catalog #AAA2547032) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The secreted recombinant mouse FCGR3 consists of 196 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 22.6 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, the apparent molecular mass of rmFCGR3 is approximately 35-40 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD16 / FCGR3 fcgr3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD16 / FCGR3, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
