Related Product Information for anti-NFKBID antibody
May regulate the expression of IL-2, IL-6, and other cytokines through regulation on NF-kappa-B activity. Functions in the regulation of inflammatory responses. May also regulate TCR-induced negative selection of thymocytes. I-kappa-BNS, the nuclear I-kappa-B-like protein encoded by Nfkbid, is required for the development of marginal zone and peritoneal B-1 B cells and additionally required for extrafollicular antibody responses to T-independent and -dependent immunogens. I-kappa-BNS has been identified as a member of the I-kappa-B family of NF-kappa-B inhibitors, which undergoes induction upon TCR signaling. I-kappa-BNS mediates both positive and negative gene regulation, depending on individual cell type and/or cytokine.

Uniprot Description

NFKBID: May regulate the expression of IL-2, IL-6, and other cytokines through regulation on NF-kappa-B activity. Functions in the regulation of inflammatory responses. May also regulate TCR- induced negative selection of thymocytes. Belongs to the NF-kappa-B inhibitor family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.12

Cellular Component: nucleus

Molecular Function: NF-kappaB binding

Biological Process: inhibition of NF-kappaB transcription factor; negative regulation of I-kappaB kinase/NF-kappaB cascade; negative regulation of T cell differentiation in the thymus; inflammatory response

Product Notes

The NFKBID nfkbid (Catalog #AAA2526915) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NFKBID Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NFKBID can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:200-1:1000 IHC 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NFKBID nfkbid for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NFKBID, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
