Related Product Information for anti-ARNT2 antibody
Aryl-hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator 2(ARNT2), is a member of the basic-helix-Ioop-helix-Per-Arnt-Sim (bHLH-PAS) superfamily of transcription factors. It specifically recognizes the xenobiotic response element(XRE). ARNT2 plays an important role in normal glucose handling in pancreatic beta cell function in humans and mice. ARNT2 proteins are dimericpartners for other PAS proteins such as HIF and SIM. ARNT2 and the other ARNT family members, e.g., ARNT, hypoxin inducible factor la (HIFIa), HIF2a, and aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR), are thought to function as heterodimers, and regulate the expression, and thereby the function, of rnany genes. Under hypoxic conditions, it complexes with hypoxia-inducible factor lalpha in the nucleus and this complex binds to hypoxia-responsive elements in enhancers and promoters of oxygen-responsive genes. Modulation of ARNT2 in pancreatic beta cells affects glucose stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS). This antibody is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against residues near the C terminus of human ARNT2.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the basic-helix-loop-helix-Per-Arnt-Sim (bHLH-PAS) superfamily of transcription factors. The encoded protein acts as a partner for several sensor proteins of the bHLH-PAS family, forming heterodimers with the sensor proteins that bind regulatory DNA sequences in genes responsive to developmental and environmental stimuli. Under hypoxic conditions, the encoded protein complexes with hypoxia-inducible factor 1alpha in the nucleus and this complex binds to hypoxia-responsive elements in enhancers and promoters of oxygen-responsive genes. A highly similar protein in mouse forms functional complexes with both aryl hydrocarbon receptors and Single-minded proteins, suggesting additional roles for the encoded protein in the metabolism of xenobiotic compounds and the regulation of neurogenesis, respectively. Product Notes

The ARNT2 arnt2 (Catalog #AAA2525431) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ARNT2 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ARNT2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:500-1:1000 IHC: 1:50-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ARNT2 arnt2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ARNT2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
