For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Chicken
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Chicken AT-III. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Chicken AT-III and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross- reactivity detection between Chicken AT-III and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist.

Related Product Information for AT-III elisa kit
Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of AT-III in Chicken serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Chicken AT-III. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Chicken AT-III and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Chicken AT-III, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Chicken AT-III. You can calculate the concentration of Chicken AT-III in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Uniprot Description

SERPINC1: Most important serine protease inhibitor in plasma that regulates the blood coagulation cascade. AT-III inhibits thrombin, matriptase-3/TMPRSS7, as well as factors IXa, Xa and XIa. Its inhibitory activity is greatly enhanced in the presence of heparin. Defects in SERPINC1 are the cause of antithrombin III deficiency (AT3D). AT3D is an important risk factor for hereditary thrombophilia, a hemostatic disorder characterized by a tendency to recurrent thrombosis. AT3D is classified into 4 types. Type I: characterized by a 50% decrease in antigenic and functional levels. Type II: has defects affecting the thrombin- binding domain. Type III: alteration of the heparin-binding domain. Plasma AT-III antigen levels are normal in type II and III. Type IV: consists of miscellaneous group of unclassifiable mutations. Belongs to the serpin family.

Product Notes

The Chicken AT-III serpinc1 (Catalog #AAA2504172) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2504172 ELISA Kit recognizes Chicken AT-III. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AT-III, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
