Related Product Information for anti-WNT10B antibody
Wnt genes encode a family of secreted proteins having oncogenic potential and important roles in developmental processes. WNT10B has been implicated in several cancers, including breast cancer and gastric cancer. WNT10B expression has been shown to be modulated by IFNgamma, TNFalpha, retionic acid, and beta estradiol. WNT10B might be implicated in self renewal of stem cells as well as in carcinogenesis through activation of the WNT - beta-catenin pathway.

NCBI Description

The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes which encode secreted signaling proteins. These proteins have been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. This gene is a member of the WNT gene family. It may be involved in breast cancer, and its protein signaling is likely a molecular switch that governs adipogenesis. This protein is 96% identical to the mouse Wnt10b protein at the amino acid level. This gene is clustered with another family member, WNT1, in the chromosome 12q13 region. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

WNT10B: Ligand for members of the frizzled family of seven transmembrane receptors. Probable developmental protein. May be a signaling molecule which affects the development of discrete regions of tissues. Is likely to signal over only few cell diameters. Defects in WNT10B are the cause of split-hand/foot malformation type 6 (SHFM6). SHFM is a limb malformation involving the central rays of the autopod and presenting with syndactyly, median clefts of the hands and feet, and aplasia and/or hypoplasia of the phalanges, metacarpals, and metatarsals. SHFM6 is a autosomal recessive disorder. Belongs to the Wnt family.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12q13

Cellular Component: proteinaceous extracellular matrix; extracellular space; extracellular region

Molecular Function: frizzled binding; receptor agonist activity

Biological Process: positive regulation of apoptosis; skeletal muscle fiber development; Wnt receptor signaling pathway through beta-catenin; negative regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; neuron differentiation; positive regulation of cell proliferation; positive regulation of epithelial cell differentiation; chondrocyte differentiation; G2/M transition of mitotic cell cycle; cell cycle arrest; positive regulation of transcriptional preinitiation complex assembly; negative regulation of epithelial cell proliferation; smoothened signaling pathway; Wnt receptor signaling pathway; cell fate commitment; sensory perception of taste; protein stabilization; regulation of proteasomal ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; negative regulation of fat cell differentiation; positive regulation of bone mineralization; positive regulation of osteoblast differentiation; regulation of skeletal muscle development; positive regulation of transcription factor activity; lipid metabolic process; positive regulation of anagen; myoblast cell differentiation involved in skeletal muscle regeneration

Product Notes

The WNT10B wnt10b (Catalog #AAA244473) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal to Human WNT10B reacts with Bat, Gibbon, Dog, Gorilla, Hamster, Human, Mouse, Orangutan, Pig, Rat Predicted Reactivity: Monkey, Horse, Rabbit (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's WNT10B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin). IHC-P (5 ug/ml). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the WNT10B wnt10b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "WNT10B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
