Rabbit anti-Mouse CD271 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CD271 antibody
RABBIT ANTI HUMAN CD271
CD271 has been shown to interact with tropomyosin-receptor-kinase A (TrkA) forming the high-affinity NGF receptor, while CD271 can signal alone, constituting the low-affinity NGF receptor. When signalling alone, CD271 is involved in apoptosis, neurite outgrowth during development and myelination.
Mutations and changes in CD271 expression have been implicated in various pathological diseases including Alzheimer's Disease, cerebral oedema and retinoblastoma.

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Nerve growth factor receptor contains an extracellular domain containing four 40-amino acid repeats with 6 cysteine residues at conserved positions followed by a serine/threonine-rich region, a single transmembrane domain, and a 155-amino acid cytoplasmic domain. The cysteine-rich region contains the nerve growth factor binding domain. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
NGFR: Low affinity receptor which can bind to NGF, BDNF, NT-3, and NT-4. Can mediate cell survival as well as cell death of neural cells. Homodimer; disulfide-linked. Interacts with p75NTR- associated cell death executor. Interacts with TRAF2, TRAF4, TRAF6, PTPN13 and RANBP9. Interacts through TRAF6 with SQSTM1 which bridges NGFR to NTRK1. Interacts with BEX1 and NGFRAP1/BEX3. Interacts with KIDINS220 and NTRK1. Can form a ternary complex with NTRK1 and KIDINS220 and this complex is affected by the expression levels of KIDINS220. An increase in KIDINS220 expression leads to a decreased association of NGFR and NTRK1. Interacts with NTRK2; may regulate the ligand specificity of the NTRK2 receptor. Interacts with LINGO1.

Product Notes
The CD271 ngfr (Catalog #AAA221322) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RABBIT ANTI HUMAN CD271 reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD271 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Frozen, Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: This item detects a band of approximately 75-80kDa in A-20 cell lysate. Western Blotting: Maximum Dilution: 1ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD271 ngfr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD271, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
