Specificity
This item recognises an isoform of CD45 called CD45RB. CD45 is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. The PTP proteins are signalling molecules that are involved in a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitosis and oncogenesis. CD45 is an essential regulator of T- and B-cell antigen receptor signalling.

CD45 has various isoforms generated by different splicing of exons. Clone C363-16A recognises CD45RB, generated by exon 5 splicing. This 220kDa glycoprotein is expressed on peripheral B-cells, naïve T-cells, thymocytes, macrophages and dendritic cells.

Uniprot Description

CD45: a receptor type protein tyrosine phosphatase protein. Contains an extracellular domain, a single transmembrane segment and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains. The first PTPAse domain has enzymatic activity, while the second one seems to affect the substrate specificity of the first one. Specifically expressed in hematopoietic cells. An essential regulator of T- and B-cell antigen receptor signaling. Functions through either direct interaction with components of the antigen receptor complexes, or by activating various Src family kinases required for the antigen receptor signaling. Suppresses JAK kinases, and thus functions as a regulator of cytokine receptor signaling. Four alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The CD45RB ptprc (Catalog #AAA219374) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CD45RB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Frozen, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistology Paraffin. Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 1x106 cells in 100ul. Flow Cytometry: Minimum Dilution: 1/20; Maximum Dilution: 1/50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD45RB ptprc for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD45RB, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
