Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Store at 2-8 degree C for one month. Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for 12 months.
Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the target protein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is lessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

Interferon consensus sequence-binding protein (ICSBP) is a transcription factor of the interferon (IFN) regulatory factor (IRF) family. Proteins of this family are composed of a conserved DNA-binding domain in the N-terminal region and a divergent C-terminal region that serves as the regulatory domain. The IRF family proteins bind to the IFN-stimulated response element (ISRE) and regulate expression of genes stimulated by type I IFNs, namely IFN-alpha and IFN-beta. IRF family proteins also control expression of IFN-alpha and IFN-beta-regulated genes that are induced by viral infection. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

IRF8: Specifically binds to the upstream regulatory region of type I IFN and IFN-inducible MHC class I genes (the interferon consensus sequence (ICS)). Plays a negative regulatory role in cells of the immune system. Interacts (via C-terminus) with TRIM21 (via C-terminus). Interacts with COPS2. By IFNG/IFN-gamma. Predominantly expressed in lymphoid tissues. Belongs to the IRF family.

Product Notes

The IRF8 irf8 (Catalog #AAA2033464) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Interferon Regulatory Factor 8 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, Western (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IRF8 irf8 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MCDRNGGRRL RQWLIEQIDS SMYPGLIWEN DEKTMFRIPW KHAGKQDYNQ EVDASIFKAW AVFKGKFKEG DKAEPATWKT RLRCALNKSP DFEEVTDRSQ LDISEPYKVY RIVPEEEQKC KLGVAPAGCM SEVPEMECGR SEIEELIKEP SVDEYMGMTK RSPSPPEACR SQILPDWWVQ QPSAGLPLVT GYAAYDTHHS AFSQMVISFY YGGKLVGQAT TTCLEGCRLS LSQPGLPKLY GPDGLEPVCF PTADTIPSER QRQVTRKLFG HLERGVLLHS NRKGVFVKRL CQGRVFCSGN AVVCKGRPNK LERDEVVQVF DTNQFIR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interferon Regulatory Factor 8, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
