Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the targetprotein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation andprecipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is lessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Uniprot Description
SIRT5: NAD-dependent lysine demalonylase and desuccinylase that specifically removes malonyl and succinyl groups on target proteins. Activates CPS1 and contributes to the regulation of blood ammonia levels during prolonged fasting: acts by mediating desuccinylation of CPS1, thereby increasing CPS1 activity in response to elevated NAD levels during fasting. Has weak NAD- dependent protein deacetylase activity; however this activity may not be physiologically relevant in vivo. Can deacetylate cytochrome c (CYCS) and a number of other proteins in vitro. Belongs to the sirtuin family. Class III subfamily. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: EC 3.5.1.-; Mitochondrial; Deacetylase
Cellular Component: mitochondrion; mitochondrial matrix; cytoplasm; mitochondrial intermembrane space; cytosol; nucleus
Molecular Function: (3,5-dichlorophenylurea)acetate amidohydrolase activity; hydrolase activity; zinc ion binding; metal ion binding; UDP-3-O-[3-hydroxymyristoyl] N-acetylglucosamine deacetylase activity; N-acetylgalactosamine-6-phosphate deacetylase activity; N2-acetyl-L-lysine deacetylase activity; iprodione amidohydrolase activity; protein binding; indoleacetamide hydrolase activity; protein N-terminal asparagine amidohydrolase activity; histone deacetylase activity; O-succinylbenzoate synthase activity

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Sirtuin 5 (SIRT5), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
