Related Product Information for DnaJ recombinant protein
Human Hsp40 is one of the mammalian homologues of bacterial DnaJ heat shock protein and regulates cellular processes by aiding in protein folding, transport, and assembly. Hsp40 protein contains the J-domain which controls interactions with the ATPase domain of DnaK.

Recombinant Human DnaJ (Hsp40) produced in E. coli is a single, nonglycosylated polypeptide chain containing 360 amino acids with a molecular weight of 40.2kDa. This protein includes 6X His tag fused at the N-terminus.

Uniprot Description

Function: Interacts with HSP70 and can stimulate its ATPase activity. Stimulates the association between HSC70 and HIP.

Subunit structure: Interacts with DNAJC3. Ref.6

Subcellular location: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Nucleus › nucleolus. Note: Translocates rapidly from the cytoplasm to the nucleus, and especially to the nucleoli, upon heat shock. Ref.5

Induction: By heat shock. Ref.5

Sequence similarities: Contains 1 J domain.

Sequence caution: The sequence CAA44287.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Frameshift at positions 11, 28, 81 and 136.

Product Notes

The DnaJ dnajb1 (Catalog #AAA197055) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGKDYYQTLG LARGASDEEI KRAYRRQALR YHPDKNKEPG AEEKFKEIAE AYDVLSDPRK REIFDRYGEE GLKGSGPSGG SGGGANGTSF SYTFHGDPHA MFAEFFGGRN PFDTFFGQRN GEEGMDIDDP FSGFPMGMGG FTNVNFGRSR SAQEPARKKQ DPPVTHDLRV SLEEIYSGCT KKMKISHKRL NPDGKSIRNE DKILTIEVKK GWKEGTKITF PKEGDQTSNN IPADIVFVLK DKPHNIFKRD GSDVIYPARI SLREALCGCT VNVPTLDGRT IPVVFKDVIR PGMRRKVPGE GLPLPKTPEK RGDLIIEFEV IFPERIPQTS RTVLEQVLPI. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DnaJ (Hsp40), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
