Rat Sodium/Glucose Cotransporter 1 ELISA Kit | SGLT1 elisa kit

Rat Sodium/Glucose Cotransporter 1 ELISA Kit

Gene Names
SLC5A1; NAGT; SGLT1; D22S675
Reactivity
Rat
Synonyms
Sodium/Glucose Cotransporter 1; Rat Sodium/Glucose Cotransporter 1 ELISA Kit; SGLT1 elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Rat
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Rat SGLT1 and analogues was observed.
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces and Urine
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
0.25 ng/ml - 8 ng/ml.
Sensitivity
0.1 ng/ml.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated SGLT1 concentrations in Rat serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Rat SGLT1 antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add SGLT1 and SGLT1 antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of SGLT1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the sodium-dependent glucose transporter (SGLT) family. The encoded integral membrane protein is the primary mediator of dietary glucose and galactose uptake from the intestinal lumen. Mutations in this gene have been associated with glucose-galactose malabsorption. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2012]

Uniprot Description

SLC5A1: Actively transports glucose into cells by Na(+) cotransport with a Na(+) to glucose coupling ratio of 2:1. Efficient substrate transport in mammalian kidney is provided by the concerted action of a low affinity high capacity and a high affinity low capacity Na(+)/glucose cotransporter arranged in series along kidney proximal tubules. Expressed mainly in intestine and kidney. Belongs to the sodium:solute symporter (SSF) (TC 2.A.21) family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Transporter, SLC family; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Transporter

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 22q12.3

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; brush border membrane; apical plasma membrane; plasma membrane; intercellular junction

Molecular Function: protein binding; glucose:sodium symporter activity

Biological Process: hexose transport; sodium ion transport; carbohydrate metabolic process; pathogenesis; glucose transport; transmembrane transport; metanephros development; intestinal absorption

Disease: Glucose/galactose Malabsorption

Product Notes

The Rat SGLT1 slc5a1 (Catalog #AAA019321) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA019321 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat SGLT1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Sodium/Glucose Cotransporter 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
