Related Product Information for CCL22 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of human C-C Motif Chemokine 22 (also known as CCL22) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human CCL22 antibody. CCL22 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human CCL22 Antibody is added and binds to CCL22 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CCL22 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human CCL22. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

This antimicrobial gene is one of several Cys-Cys (CC) cytokine genes clustered on the q arm of chromosome 16. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for monocytes, dendritic cells, natural killer cells and for chronically activated T lymphocytes. It also displays a mild activity for primary activated T lymphocytes and has no chemoattractant activity for neutrophils, eosinophils and resting T lymphocytes. The product of this gene binds to chemokine receptor CCR4. This chemokine may play a role in the trafficking of activated T lymphocytes to inflammatory sites and other aspects of activated T lymphocyte physiology. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

Uniprot Description

May play a role in the trafficking of activated/effector T-lymphocytes to inflammatory sites and other aspects of activated T-lymphocyte physiology. Chemotactic for monocytes, dendritic cells and natural killer cells. Mild chemoattractant for primary activated T-lymphocytes and a potent chemoattractant for chronically activated T-lymphocytes but has no chemoattractant activity for neutrophils, eosinophils, and resting T-lymphocytes. Binds to CCR4. Processed forms MDC(3-69), MDC(5-69) and MDC(7-69) seem not be active.

Product Notes

The Human CCL22 ccl22 (Catalog #AAA1600014) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA1600014 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CCL22. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C-C motif chemokine 22 (CCL22), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
