Related Product Information for GDF10 recombinant protein
Description: GDF10 Human Recombinant produced in E Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 111 amino acids (369-478 a.a.) and having a total molecular mass of 12.5 kDa. GDF10 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction: GDF10 is a member of the BMP family and the TGF-beta superfamily. GDF10 is expressed in femur, brain, lung, skeletal, muscle, pancreas and testis, and has a role in head formation and possibly multiple roles in skeletal morphogenesis. In humans, GDF10 mRNA is found in the cochlea and lung of fetuses, and in testis, retina, pineal gland, and other neural tissues of adults. The BMP family members are regulators of cell growth and differentiation in both embryonic and adult tissues. These proteins are characterized by a polybasic proteolytic processing site which is cleaved to produce a mature protein containing 7 conserved cysteine residues.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family and the TGF-beta superfamily. This group of proteins is characterized by a polybasic proteolytic processing site which is cleaved to produce a mature protein containing seven conserved cysteine residues. The members of this family are regulators of cell growth and differentiation in both embryonic and adult tissues. Studies in mice suggest that the protein encoded by this gene plays a role in skeletal morphogenesis. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The GDF10 gdf10 (Catalog #AAA143828) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MQWDEPRVCS RRYLKVDFAD IGWNEWIISP KSFDAYYCAG ACEFPMPKIV RPSNHATIQS IVRAVGIIPG IPEPCCVPDK MNSLGVLFLD ENRNVVLKVY PNMSVDTCAC R. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Growth and Differentiation factor 10, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
